Sophie and Agatha’s fairy tale continues in the second installment of the series. Agatha’s decision to stay with Sophie over Tedros is causing all females to abandon men.

Agatha almost kisses Tedros while in the school master’s tower. Sophie takes a potion to transform into a boy and sneak into the boy’s school. Tedros almost kisses Sophie when she transforms back. Tedros kisses Agatha. Sophie kisses the school master thinking she’s bringing her mom back to life.
Flaming arrows come to Gavaldon and messages arrive saying Sophie is wanted. The town leaders bring Sophie to the woods as an offering. Tedros wants to kill Sophie and Agatha. A trial by tale is held and Yara, or Tristan’s throat is slit by Eric. Hester gets cut in the stomach. Evelyn Sader puts her finger under the storian causing it to bleed over the book. Tedros gets stabbed by the school master.
This shows that even when boys are a pain, the world can’t thrive without them.
A little slow in the beginning, but picks up the pace a few chapters in.
I love this series! I definitely recommend these books to fantasy lovers.
